Hey girls. Do you think The Vampire Diaries is too grown up for my 12-year-old niece? I think I'd like to share the first couple episodes with her but I am not sure. She's pretty sophisticated for 12 but then again, I don't know. THOUGHTS?!
If TVD is too grown up, what paranormal type show might you recommend for a teen, if any?!

I don't think it's too grown up for her. Especially not the earlier seasons.
As for other paranormal type shows I'd recommend for a 12-year-old, the original Charmed & Buffy. Also Tru Calling, though it may be right on the edge of too mature. You might want to check out a couple of episodes for yourself first.
